Eight plus four...

We have had our first big snow here in the interior of this great forty-ninth state.  And when I say big,  that is an absolute understatement.  We have had eight inches of snow fall today alone, with a predicted two inches tonight and another two inches Thursday.  It has also been unusually warm, staying in the positive teens.  This weekend,  it is supposed to fall to more than forty degrees below zero.  I did my fair share of snow shoveling today at work (all volunteer,  I find it very calming and a good work out) and at home.  Tug is loving this weather and it's hard to get him to come inside.  Jack loves the snow as well,  and will stay out as long as I let him.  The roads are absolute crap and filled with panic-stricken drivers.  I have news for them: you live in ALASKA.  Get over it.  Work closed early today and we are going in late tomorrow.  I wish this type of weather would last all winter,  we really enjoy it and can't get enough!

I shoveled this area of the deck last night.

Me and my mighty shovel
