Tired babies

Jack and I left the Burrell/Fleming estate just after 7 o'clock this morning. I knew it would shape out to be a long day so I decided to get it over with. Jack was, once again, a good sport for the 350 + mile drive home. The drive was pleasant as usual. I don't mind it at all it's so beautiful. We got home just before 2 in the afternoon after potty breaks in Talkeetna first after a couple hours and then Healy after another two hours. We got home, unloaded the car, ate lunch and headed to pick up Tug from Holy Dog Kennels in Fairbanks. Apparently Tug was the favorite. Who really can resist a big, fluffy puppy. He had a lot of fun with the other dogs and was spoiled by the staff. He did much outside playing so he got a bath when we got home. Jack went to bed about six tonight and Tug voluntarily went out to the garage and got in his kennel to nap in peace. He came in after a couple hours and crashed in my bedroom.

This was right around Houston, AK

Exhausted from a great weekend!

Sleepy puppy. Pooped out from playing for four days!

Bright lights, big city

Well, big (er) city than Fairbanks & overcast, we dropped Tug off at Holy Dog Kennels Thursday morning, picked up Heather and started for the big 350 mile, six hour drive to Anchorage to see Hollie, Jon & Henlie. We have had a great time and don't want to leave.

Jack super pumped Thursday morning

My drink glass

Crashed on the couch for night # 1

Henlie with antlers from part of Jon's catch in Happy Valley. We ate the back straps Friday night. Nothing like fresher than the freshest. It was some of the best 'Bu in the world. Jack couldn't get enough.

Target!!! Yeay? We actually didn't buy a lot. Jack got some new 'jamas. That was it.

Marshmallows!

Best buddies!

What started out as a good night...

When Jack is unruly at bedtime it's a common occurrence to take him to bed with me and we read or watch television until he or we fall asleep. 99.9% of the time I am too tired to get up and put him into his own bed. Five o'clock in the morning comes quicker than anyone expects. Well, even though last night was Friday night, I was ready for bed nonetheless and Jack wasn't quite to the same stage I was.

So, we went to bed together. After reading "That's not my dragon" a few times Jack fell asleep. I didn't wake until about one a.m., just in time to hear Jack crawling off the bed in his sleep. He bumped his head and got a slight black eye, but was more scared than anything. Here he is the morning after sporting his semi-shiner and a small cut under his nose. All smiles at least!
