We started our day off right... With a nap! Then shopping for a bicycle helmet for Jack, and came home to do some laundry. I love four-day weekends!

Long weekend

It's a gray start to our four-day weekend. Woke up this morning to rain, rain, rain. And lots of it. I hope my plants don't drown. We are also waiting for my vehicle to come out of surgery at the Chevrolet dealership. She should be ready to go this afternoon. My old boss & his wife are getting ready to move to Ft. Lewis, so when they were doing their pre-move purge I got to go through some of their stuff they were doing away with. One of the awesome treasures I aquired was a pull-behind bicycle trailer. Thursday afternoon I finally dared to put Jack in it and go for a ride. He had a blast and laughed almost the whole time, especially when we got to the paved road and we got to go faster. I was excited to take him again today but I don't know if we will be able too with this weather. I was also pleased to get the most recent picture of Tug, at six weeks old. Only a couple more weeks and he gets to come home!

Denali

I've got to send Flat Stanley back to Aidan this week so he has him in time for his project.  So I decided to take him on one last hoo-rah on Saturday.  We drove down to Denali Park.  I saw a bear in the wild for my 2nd only time!  It was a huge brown bear on Riley Creek eating a fish.  So cool!  Stanley also got to see the Alaska pipeline.

Visiting Aunt Hollie

We went to Hollie's for dinner (aka drinks) tonight. Gotta get our time in before she moves to the big city & we have to drive 6 hours for this. Jack had fun playing and watching movies with Henlie and of course being spoiled to sleep by Hollie

One of Hen's baby's bottles... These things are phooey!

Watching "Snow Buddies"

Mesmerized by Hollie's guitar playing and singing

So when I got home from work today all I wanted to do was take a nap. This cold is kickin' mah booty. Triple shot coffees & red bulls didn't help me at all. Jack and I got home and got in bed. He went to sleep. I did not. So I got up because my coughing was apparently disturbing my slumbering bed thief. Three hours later Jack got out of bed for a bottle. Here are the during and after shots:

My mom has been sick...

I started to catch a cold last week before Grandma Barb left and I thought it went away. Boy was I wrong. Jack has been a good sport and just hanging out with me.

From DC to AK

My nephew Aidan asked for my help with a school project. Um, of course! He sent me "Flat Stanley", a paper doll of sorts. My job is to take ol' Flat Stan and show him as much of the four-nine as possible and document it. Sold! I've been waiting a week for Stan to arrive and he was in my mailbox today. Awesome! I have so much planned for us.
