After three days of packing, I was a little jealous of Jack getting to go outside and play at school during the day. It's been so nice here. So I picked him up a little early this afternoon and we went to Pioneer Park in Fairbanks. I put Jack in a swing not really sure on how he would react. He laughed the whole time. It was a great way to forget about the stress of moving that is for sure. We will be back there again very soon.

Ah the joys...

... of living in North Pole. It seems like whenever you call a company that's based outside (that's in the lower 48 for all of you non-Alaskans) they never believe you when you say you live in North Pole. I have actually had representatives of some companies laugh and hang up on me. Or ask, "who is this really? I'm at work I don't have time for games." Alas, yes, North Pole, Alaska is a real city in a real state. Here is a recount of my telephone experience with an ADT representative this morning...

ADT rep (after taking my name and the street address): "And the city?"
Me: "North Pole"
ADT rep: "Excuse me?"
Me: "North. Pole."
ADT rep: "Uh, right... State?"
Me: "Alaska"
ADT rep: "Nebraska."
Me: "No. Alaska."
ADT rep: "I don't have a North Pole, Nebraska."
Me: "Right, because I said Alaska. Ahhh-lass-kaaaaah."
ADT rep: "And your zip code in *condescending laugh* North Pooole?"
Me: "99705."
ADT rep: *type type type* "Oh. It does exist. Here it is on Google maps. Wow."

Weekend of naps & parties

We went to Savanna's 5th birthday party yesterday. Jack had fun watching the big kids play & bowl. Came home for a big nap. He was up until ten last night and I was hoping he would sleep in today. Yeah right. Waking up early caught up with him and he was napping by noon.

Friday!

It was an early Friday morning for Jack and I. He didn't have a very good day, two more teeth coming in: top side teeth. Jack is in some pain. When I got him home I was able to get him to take a nap. I also got to pick out our puppy, Tug, today. I got the pick of the boys! Next week will be busy, full of packing and getting ready to move into our new house at the end of the month!

Tug? Are you coming?

My puppy's mom went into labor tonight & so far she's had one baby. Hopefully she has them all tonight & Tug & I will share the se birthday! I was hoping for this. Here is a picture of Oakley in labor... She looks so happy... She's doing a lot better than I did...
