After shoveling eight + inches of snow last night, we woke up to another four and still snowing. Jack and I got ready for school/work and got stuck in the driveway. I put the car in four wheel drive low and got out with ease. However my car decided it was going to stay in four wheel drive low. For ever. As we got on the road I found out that we didn't have to go into work today, but we were already going & I needed to take the car in to the repair shop to see if they could fix it. Jack had a blast at school it was warm enough to go outside for more than ten minutes. My car on the other hand is still at the doctor. Luckily, my friend Heather offered her car for my use until she returns from a work trip tomorrow night. Fabulous, I thought! All I had to do was go to her house which I had planned on anyway (I am the checker-upper on the kitties while she is away), get the spare key, go to the airport and pick it up! Too easy! After two trips to the airport & one trip to the Hertz retal counter (contemplating renting a vehicle for one day), with a total of three hours searching for her car, I went one more time to go try to find it. When almost two feet of snow has fallen, all the cars in long-term parking look the same. White. I finally found her car and uncased it from all the snow and Jack and I made it home safely. The repair shop called and they will be looking at my vehicle "first thing" tomorrow morning. I hope the young, knowledgable, extremely polite fellow who was helping us and going to perform the surgery is able to fix the problem before he goes home for the weekend. They say when it rains, it pours. I never really believed that to be true until today. With everything that has broke and the crazy weather in the last week, I don't know if I will be able to make it to the New Year!! Okay, that's not true, I have enough wine to get me through it all!

| Tug played in the snow hard core this morning. He was all white. I tried to get a picture but he wouldn't sit still. You can see it on his head at least. |
