Great weekend

Jack and I had a great weekend visiting his grandparents in Wasilla.  The drive down was beautiful.  We stopped and had lunch at the Chevron in Cantwell Friday afternoon.  Sunday evening that same Chevron burned to the ground from a propane explosion!  We  had a great time in the big city.   Went to Target & Arby's (if you live in Fairbanks then you will understand what a big deal that is),  some holiday bazaars,  watched football and ate great meals (thanks, grandpa Mike!).   The drive home was great,  I saw more moose from Wasilla to Talkeetna than I have my entire time in Alaska,  and saw the herds of caribou in Cantwell.

After the long ride down giggling with grandma

Hanging out with grandpa & Hunter dog watching football

The ducks in the back yard

Hunter got jealous of the squeely squirmy guy I brought

Watching more football

A small spike.  One of the many we saw on the way back.
Missed a picture of the big bull we saw.

Caribou in Cantwell.  Grandpa is going to pick up his 5th wheel in Tok
on Wednesday.  Bringing his rifle incase these guys are close to the road
and in range.  Maybe we will have some Caribou to eat when we go down to
Wasilla at Christmas.

There was a big gas station store here!  It burned about 17 hours before
we passed it on the way home.  It was weird to think we had lunch there
just a few days before.

Napping with grandma after we got home
